Each year, we select two new Teacher Fellows to collaborate on our field research and design innovative experiments for their classrooms. We prioritize the selection of middle- and high-school science teachers from schools that qualify for Title I funding. All fellowships are for two years and include:
To apply for a 2020-2021 Teacher Fellowship, complete the application form below by April 15, 2020
- A week-long workshop on current evolutionary research at Mountain Lake Biological Station (July 13-18, 2020)
- A week-long field trip (optional) to conduct research at our Florida study sites (July 19-26, 2020)
- A week-long workshop on designing innovative curriculum at Mountain Lake Biological Station (July of 2021)
- All travel, lodging, and meal costs for each of the above workshops and field research trips
- A stipend of $1000 per year for participation in the above workshops and research
- A budget of up to $2000 to design and implement an innovative experiment in your classroom
- Registration and travel costs to attend a scientific conference to present your classroom project (optional)
