Join Evolution Education and DataClassroom for a fun week at Mountain Lake Biological Station in the mountains of southwest Virginia - meeting scientists and learning new ways to teach data collection, analysis, and graphing to your STEM students! Our next workshop is scheduled for July 7-11, 2025! Once again, we're excited to partner with DataClassroom to help educators build confidence with data collection, formatting, statistical analysis, and graphing. No prior experience is necessary - we will begin with the basics to help you discover exciting new possibilities for teaching data skills - from online learning with curated datasets to the analysis of new data collected right in your classroom! We will start with Ready-To-Teach lesson plans based on real datasets, then conduct our own studies in the classroom and outdoors to build confidence in a variety of different ways to teach data collection, analysis, and graphing.
All teachers will receive full room and board at Mountain Lake Biological Station and a $400 stipend to defray travel costs, as well as a certificate of participation for 30 hours of professional development training.
